The two have become one!

Denver supergroups Chewbacca Bukkake and b.sous have officially merged their artistic and musical abilities to become one unbeatable sound sensation.

Eclectic, eccentric rock band Chewbacca Bukkake and quirky pop group b.sous had previously been two separate entities, although they shared band members.  In an effort to combine their energy, the two groups have merged under the direction of band leaders Johnny DeStefano and Brandi Shigley and their shared crews.

Performing for the first time as a united musical effort, the band (working under the Chewbacca Bukkake name) will join popular Denver-expat comedian Ben Kronberg in his long-awaited return to Colorado stages on August 1st at the Oriental Theatre.

Performing songs from the b.sous catalog as well as new hits composed by DeStefano (of Hate F*uck Trio), the collaborative effort will feature a lineup of powerhouse Denver musicians including drummer Alex Hebert (American Relay), guitarist Brian Hendrick (Hate F*ck Trio and Separate Cars), turntable artist and guitarist Zach Dunn (DJ Dr. Zen) , keyboardist Grant Williams, and whistler Johnny Morehouse (filmmaker and actor), along with DeStefano and Shigley.

Performing songs such as Chewbacca Bukkake’s “Boobieland City” and b.sous’s “Cuteness Overload,”  the band’s quirky formats, entertaining lyrics, and danceable sounds lend to an easy and energetic merger, one sure to take the now-singular band in even more interesting directions.

Aside from joining Kronberg and other Denver comedians onstage August 1st, the musicians will also be part of the Denver Post Underground Music Showcase at the Skylark Lounge on August 2nd, as well as performing (under the b.sous name) on the rooftop patio of the Museum of Contemporary Art on September 12th.
