Jazz, Country MP3s from 78s
Here’s a site with thousands of jazz, country & more recordings from 78s.
Check out the urban swing of Little Red Ridinghood.
By default I spent some time as a boy listening to jazz with my grandfather*, who was a full-on jazz enthusiast. He had hundreds of records, a reel-to-reel tape machine, and corner speakers that he built from a kit.
For the young’ins here, 78s are small records… “vinyl”, like DJs play in clubs. Seventy-eights were the red-headed stepchildren of vinyl, being the least popular of LP and 45s.
* I had no say in it. My sister and I were dropped off for two weeks at a time at my grandparents’ house in the summers.
