TBS All New Again!

adam_2009

Long Island Hardcore/Emo/Punk/insert clever genre Rocker’s Taking Back Sunday are currently in the studio working on their newest album titled “New Again.” The Record comes at the perfect time for embracing the new, as 2007 brought the departure of  guitarist Fred Mascherino who left citing “room to pursue other creative projects.”

TBS is no stranger to line-up changes, in 2005 original members John Nolan, and Sean Cooper left and went to form Straylight Run. While the chemistry of the old TBS and the near perfection of Tell All Your Friends, TBS’s debut album, remains un trumped, what is left is a new and emotionally evolved sound. Taking Back Sunday remains one of those bands that i’ll continue to have faith in, at their core they’re still the Long Island boys who just want to rock. Ed Reyes continues to shred on the guitar, Mark O’Connell still drums with throwback long Island hardcore intensity, and Adam Lazzara will forever know how to swing his mic ferociously around while begging the question “Why can’t I feel anything from anyone other than you.”

I’m expecting big things from New Again, The record is set for a spring 2009 release. TBS has scheduled a few club shows through the end of the year and in ’09 they’ll be on the festival circuit which will include Bamboozle in New Jersey on May 3rd. RMMB will keep you posted on Denver dates and with an album review as soon as we get our hands on it.
