The Bagpipe Busker is in Denver

Rob Calder, a 32 year old bagpiper from Edinburgh, is busking his away across the United States for a charity called Ecas that serves the disabled. He arrived in New York on June 9 to spend six weeks playing his bagpipes from coast to coast, rain or shine, relying on the kindness of locals and people of Scots decent to host him along the way.

I’m trying to find out when/where he’ll be for those of you who enjoy the sonic torture of bagpipes, or for those of you who seek out the different. Here’s his TODAY Show appearance.

Rob will be in Denver today and tomorrow (Wednesday) , and then continue onto Arizona, Nevada and California in late July.

Hi my name is Rob Calder, Over six weeks this summer I will travel across the USA, coast to coast. I am going to do this by busking with my bagpipes in cities along the route.

will rely only on Scottish hospitality and connections to make the journey, and I will busk every day, rain, hail or shine. The challenge will be to see if I can make it coast to coast in six weeks with Scottish roots, a set of pipes and a smile…
